Awarapan 2 Set For Rs 150 Crore Club, Day 12 Numbers Confirm

Awarapan 2's India net collection nears Rs 150 crore by day 12.

Emraan Hashmi-starrer Awarapan 2 is continuing its strong run at the Indian box office and is now only a few crores away from entering the ₹150 crore club. The film collected an estimated ₹4 crore net on its 12th day, taking its total domestic net collection to ₹143 crore. The sequel has maintained steady momentum despite entering its second week and is emerging as one of Emraan Hashmi’s biggest commercial successes.

According to the reported box office figures, Awarapan 2 recorded ₹4 crore in net earnings across 9,224 shows on Day 12. Its India gross collection has reached ₹170.35 crore, while the overseas market has contributed another ₹31.30 crore in gross earnings. With the international collections included, the film’s worldwide gross has reached ₹201.65 crore, giving the sequel a strong position in its theatrical run.

The film had an impressive start at the domestic box office, crossing the ₹100 crore net mark within just five days of its release. Its early performance also allowed it to surpass the lifetime collection of the original Awarapan, which earned ₹7.75 crore net during its theatrical run. The sequel subsequently moved past the final collections of several of Emraan Hashmi’s earlier successful films, including Haq, Raaz 2, Ek Thi Daayan and Jannat.

The film also emerged as the strongest performer among several releases competing during the Independence Day period. Awarapan 2 reportedly earned ₹40.50 crore during the opening-day period, ahead of Tamil Vishwanath & Sons, Batwara 1947, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and a DC release. Its performance against Batwara 1947, starring Sunny Deol and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, has further highlighted the sequel’s strong box-office momentum.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had earlier praised the film’s performance during its second weekend, noting substantial growth over Saturday and Sunday. The film’s strong numbers going into the second week have helped it remain competitive before the arrival of Toxic. The sustained audience response has also contributed to growing expectations that Awarapan 2 could comfortably cross the ₹150 crore net milestone in India.

Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt under the Vishesh Films banner, Awarapan 2 is a sequel to the 2007 film Awarapan. The film stars Emraan Hashmi alongside Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi. While the sequel has received mixed reviews from critics, Hashmi’s performance and screen presence have been widely appreciated by his fans. With ₹143 crore net already collected in India, the film is now within reach of another major box-office milestone.
