'Alpha' Day 6 Box Office Report: Film’s Earnings Decline After Opening Week Surge

Alia Bhatt’s Alpha sees slower earnings after opening week.

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari-starrer spy thriller “Alpha” witnessed a slowdown at the box office on its sixth day of release, with weekday trends affecting its earnings momentum. The Yash Raj Films-backed action entertainer, however, continued to add to its domestic collection despite a drop in audience turnout and a reduction in the number of screenings across theatres.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, “Alpha” earned approximately Rs 0.54 crore net on Day 6 so far, taking its total India net collection to Rs 42.64 crore. The film’s India gross collection has reached around Rs 50.87 crore, with the final Wednesday figures expected to rise after the completion of remaining shows.

The film’s box office performance has followed a mixed trend since its release. It opened with Rs 9.25 crore on Friday, followed by growth over the weekend with Rs 11.50 crore on Saturday and Rs 13.25 crore on Sunday. After collecting Rs 3.85 crore on Monday, the film showed a minor recovery on Tuesday with earnings of Rs 4.25 crore before slowing down again on Wednesday.

The decline in collections was also reflected in the reduction of theatrical shows. “Alpha” was screened across 3,291 shows nationwide on Wednesday, compared with 7,173 shows on Tuesday. The Hindi version recorded an overall morning occupancy of around 8%, with afternoon, evening, and night occupancy figures expected to influence the final Day 6 numbers.

Directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Yash Raj Films, “Alpha” is reportedly made on an estimated budget of Rs 100 crore. The spy action thriller features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh in lead roles, with appearances by Hrithik Roshan, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor.

Set within the YRF Spy Universe, “Alpha” follows two elite agents involved in a high-risk espionage mission. The film’s upcoming box office performance will depend on weekday stability, audience response, and competition from other releases during its theatrical run.
