Akshaye Khanna's Chill Response to Dhurandhar Love Revealed by Mukesh Chhabra

Akshaye Khanna’s performance as gangster Rehman Dakait in the spy action thriller Dhurandhar has become the talk of the town, with audiences and critics lauding his nuanced portrayal. Despite the widespread acclaim, Akshaye Khanna has maintained a low profile, spending time at his Alibaug residence and recently performing a Vastu Shanti hawan. The actor has not publicly reacted to the film’s success, leaving fans curious about his thoughts.

Now, Dhurandhar’s casting director Mukesh Chhabra has revealed Akshaye’s reaction. Speaking to Miss Malini, Chhabra praised Akshaye’s dedication, saying, “He brings his own element into everything he does, and does it so convincingly that you can’t help but fall in love with it.” He added that Akshaye remains in his own space, prepares meticulously, and carefully handles his aura on set.

Chhabra shared that when he spoke to Akshaye after the film’s success, the actor remained remarkably unbothered, simply saying, “‘Haan, mazza aaya.’ He knows how much love he puts into his work.” This calm response reflects Khanna’s focus on his craft rather than public recognition.

The film, directed by Aditya Dhar, has been breaking box office records since its release. In just 12 days, Dhurandhar has earned ₹634 crore worldwide, becoming the third highest-grossing Indian film of 2025 and registering the best second weekend for any Indian film this year.

Akshaye’s brief dance to the song Fa9la during his entry scene has gone viral, adding to the audience’s love for his character.
