'Dhurandhar' Roars at Box Office, Becomes One of Hindi Cinema’s Biggest Hits

Ranveer Singh blockbuster hits Rs 379.75 crore.

The Aditya Dhar-directed spy action thriller Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role alongside a powerful ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun, continued its phenomenal box office dominance by registering an estimated Rs 29 crore on its eleventh day—December 15, 2025—elevating the domestic net collection to Rs 379.75 crore, according to preliminary figures from industry tracker Sacnilk.

Released on December 5, 2025, the film has demonstrated remarkable staying power, surpassing the Rs 350 crore milestone in just ten days and now accelerating towards the prestigious Rs 400 crore club, fueled by exceptional word-of-mouth and widespread audience acclaim across multiplexes and single-screen theaters nationwide.

Collections have exhibited extraordinary resilience: the first week closed at Rs 207.25 crore, followed by a record-shattering second weekend comprising Rs 32.5 crore on the eighth day, Rs 53 crore on the ninth, and Rs 58 crore on the tenth day, before sustaining with Rs 29 crore on the second Monday, showcasing minimal drop and defying typical weekday trends for big-budget releases.

Prominent trade analyst Taran Adarsh proclaimed Dhurandhar's second weekend haul of Rs 146.60 crore as the highest in Hindi cinema history, eclipsing the Hindi version of Pushpa 2 at Rs 128 crore, Chhaava at Rs 109.23 crore, and all previous benchmarks, solidifying its status as the year's top-performing film and a landmark achievement in post-pandemic box office recovery.

With its gripping narrative inspired by real events, high-octane action sequences, and standout performances—particularly Ranveer Singh's restrained yet intense portrayal and Akshaye Khanna's compelling antagonist—the film has not only redefined box office standards but also paved the way for its confirmed sequel, Dhurandhar: Part 2 – Revenge, scheduled for theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
