Akshay Kumar's 'Welcome To The Jungle' Crosses ₹81 Crore India Net With Strong Tuesday Growth

Akshay Kumar's comedy records strong Tuesday box office.

Welcome to the Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar, continued its steady run at the box office on day five, registering a slight increase in collections on Tuesday after a stable performance on Monday. The comedy-action entertainer, directed by Ahmed Khan, has maintained audience interest since its theatrical release on June 26, moving closer to the ₹100-crore mark in India and crossing ₹120 crore globally.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected ₹9.25 crore (India net) on its fifth day, improving on Monday's ₹8.50 crore haul. The film recorded an overall occupancy of 29 per cent on Tuesday, indicating that it has managed to sustain footfalls despite entering the weekday phase of its theatrical run. The positive trend suggests that the multi-starrer continues to attract audiences after a strong opening weekend.

With the latest collections, Welcome to the Jungle has taken its India net box office total to ₹81.50 crore, while its India gross collection has reached ₹97.17 crore. The film is now on the verge of crossing the ₹100-crore gross milestone domestically, a significant achievement that would further strengthen its box office performance in the coming days.

Combined with its domestic earnings, the film's worldwide gross collection has now climbed to ₹120.12 crore, reflecting strong audience response across both Indian and overseas markets.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome to the Jungle is the third instalment in the popular Welcome franchise. The film revolves around a series of absurd misadventures involving crime, mistaken identities, confusion and action-packed situations, while retaining the franchise's signature blend of slapstick comedy and ensemble storytelling. Akshay Kumar leads a star-studded cast, with the film banking on nostalgia as well as large-scale entertainment to draw audiences to cinemas.

The encouraging weekday collections indicate that Welcome to the Jungle has managed to maintain momentum after its opening weekend, an important factor in determining its long-term box office success. Trade analysts will now closely watch the film's performance over the coming days to see whether it can sustain its hold at the ticket counters and continue its march towards higher domestic and global milestones.
