Tata Sierra Dashboard Debuts Triple-Screen Layout in Latest Spy Pics
Fresh spy images reveal Tata Sierra’s cabin featuring a first-of-its-kind triple-screen layout.
Freshly leaked spy images of the upcoming Tata Sierra SUV have offered the clearest glimpse yet into its premium cabin, spotlighting a groundbreaking triple-screen dashboard layout that positions the iconic model as Tata Motors' most technologically advanced offering to date. Captured by enthusiasts and shared on platforms like Team-BHP, the photos reveal a production-spec interior that diverges from the dual-screen concept shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025, confirming upgrades for enhanced connectivity and passenger experience. Slated for a 2026 launch—starting with the electric Sierra EV variant—the SUV revives Tata's 1991-2009 classic with modern flair, aiming to slot above the Curvv in the lineup amid intensifying competition from Mahindra's XUV 9e and Hyundai's Creta.
The dashboard steals the show with three seamlessly integrated 12.3-inch displays: a digital instrument cluster for the driver, a central touchscreen infotainment unit supporting wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and a dedicated passenger-side screen for entertainment, video calls via integrated camera, or streaming. This floating, curved arrangement—housed in a dual-tone upper with soft-touch materials and ambient LED strips—mirrors luxury setups like Mercedes-Benz's Hyperscreen but adapts for mainstream appeal, complete with touch HVAC controls and physical temperature knobs for intuitive use.
A redesigned four-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, borrowed from the Harrier EV, boasts an illuminated Tata logo, while the gear console blends metallic accents and premium leatherette for a tactile upgrade. Additional niceties include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a Harman audio system, and wireless charging, elevating the Sierra's cabin beyond its boxy, retro-inspired shell.
Exterior cues in the camouflaged test mule reaffirm the Sierra's signature silhouette: a tall, slab-sided stance with split LED headlamps, a wide DRL bar, and connected taillights evoking the original's rugged charm. Unlike the star-pattern alloys on prototypes, the spied unit sports simpler 18-inch wheels, hinting at a practical focus for urban and highway duties.
Built on Tata's Omega-Arc platform—shared with the Safari and Harrier—the Sierra measures around 4.7 metres, offering three-row seating for seven, with a 500-litre boot expandable to 1,700 litres. Safety features, expected to align with Global NCAP's five-star benchmarks, include six airbags, 360-degree cameras, and ADAS Level 2 with adaptive cruise and lane-keep assist, per regulatory filings.

Powertrain options remain speculative but promising: the ICE Sierra could pair a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (150 hp) with a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel (170 hp), both mated to six-speed manuals or automatics, delivering 18-20 kmpl efficiency. The EV lead variant, drawing from the Harrier EV's Acti.ev architecture, promises a 75 kWh battery for 500+ km range, dual-motor AWD with 504 Nm torque, and 150 kW fast-charging to 80% in 30 minutes—targeting a sub-₹30 lakh starting price to undercut rivals.
With Tata's EV market share at 70% in India, the Sierra EV could accelerate adoption in the mid-size segment, bolstered by FAME-III incentives. As production ramps up at Pune's Sanand plant, these leaks fuel hype for a vehicle blending nostalgia with next-gen tech, potentially redefining Tata's SUV portfolio in a ₹2 lakh crore market.
