Shafali Verma Purchases ₹75-Lakh MG Cyberster Sportscar Following World Cup Triumph

Shafali Verma celebrates 2025 triumph with stunning MG Cyberster.

Following her match-winning exploits that propelled India to a historic ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 title, 21-year-old prodigy Shafali Verma has marked her ascent to global stardom in spectacular fashion by taking delivery of the MG Cyberster, India’s most audacious electric convertible supercar, with an ex-showroom price starting at ₹75 lakh.

MG Motor India transformed a cricket ground into a theatrical stage for the handover: the gleaming red Cyberster was concealed inside a massive collapsible gift box on a crimson carpet. Dressed in a custom ensemble matching the car’s fiery shade, Shafali cut the ceremonial ribbon, triggering the box to collapse dramatically as victory flares lit up the sky and teammates cheered, creating a moment that instantly went viral across social media.

Beneath its jaw-dropping exterior lies serious performance: a 77 kWh ultra-thin battery pack, just 110 mm thick, feeds dual electric motors producing 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque to all four wheels. With launch control engaged, the Cyberster rockets from 0-100 kmph in a claimed 3.2 seconds while delivering a Ministry of Industry and Information Technology-certified range of 580 km on a single charge, making it both a track weapon and a long-distance grand tourer.

Visually, the two-seater commands attention with aggressive LED headlights, signature electronic scissor doors that rise skyward at the touch of a button, 20-inch multi-spoke alloys, arrow-shaped full-width rear LED taillights, and a power-operated red soft top that retracts in seconds to transform the coupe into a pure open-top roadster. The driver-focused cockpit features four digital displays, including a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, triple 7-inch screens for passengers, and a towering vertical central infotainment system wrapped in premium leather and Alcantara.

By choosing the Cyberster as her victory chariot, Shafali Verma not only celebrates personal triumph but also signals the arrival of a new generation of Indian Sporting Icons who embrace cutting-edge electric performance, joining the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in blending athletic excellence with a taste for sustainable, high-octane luxury.
