Nissan Gravite Entry Variant Delivers SUV Styling and Safety at Budget Price

Entry-level Gravite offers six airbags and flexible seating but skips infotainment.

The base variant of the Nissan Gravite is aimed at budget-conscious buyers who want practicality without paying for extra features. Priced at ₹5.65 lakh (ex-showroom), it focuses on delivering the essentials while keeping ownership affordable.

The entry-level Gravite carries the same overall design as higher trims, including Nissan’s signature front grille, sculpted bonnet lines and tall stance that lends it an SUV-like presence. It rides on steel wheels to keep costs in check and gets halogen headlamps along with LED tail lamps. Black cladding around the wheel arches and body-coloured bumpers help maintain a rugged yet cohesive look.

Inside, the Visia trim keeps things simple with an all-black cabin and fabric seat upholstery. Front passengers get power windows, while rear windows and outside mirrors are manually operated. The second row offers slide and recline functions, and both second and third rows feature adjustable headrests. Practicality remains a highlight, with removable third-row seats and a 60:40 split-fold second row that supports fold-and-tumble functionality for flexible cargo space.

Feature-wise, the package is basic. The car gets analogue dials paired with a small 3.5-inch multi-information display and manual air conditioning. However, buyers miss out on an infotainment system, wireless phone charging, push-button start/stop, rear AC vents, a cooled glovebox and a PM2.5 air filter.

On the safety front, the base variant is reasonably well equipped. It comes with six airbags as standard, along with ABS with EBD, traction control, hill start assist, rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system and ISOFIX child-seat mounts. Convenience-oriented items such as a rear parking camera, rain-sensing wipers and rear defogger are not included.

Under the hood, the petrol engine produces 72 PS and 96 Nm and is paired exclusively with a manual gearbox. There is no AMT option in this variant, and the setup prioritises efficiency and ease of use over outright performance. Overall, the base Gravite delivers the core strengths of space, safety and affordability, making it suitable for buyers who value function over features.
