MG Launches Limited Cyberster, M9 Couture Editions in India

MG Motor India has launched limited Couture Editions of the Cyberster electric roadster and M9 electric multi-purpose vehicle, introducing design-focused updates without altering their mechanical specifications. Developed in collaboration with fashion designer Gaurav Gupta, the Cyberster Couture Edition is priced at ₹87.49 lakh, while the M9 Couture Edition costs ₹84.94 lakh, both ex-showroom. Each model is ₹4.99 lakh more expensive than its respective standard version and will be limited to 50 units.

Bookings for both special editions opened on July 20 through MG Select dealerships. Their restricted production makes them styling-led collector variants aimed at buyers seeking greater visual exclusivity from the company’s premium electric range. Both vehicles receive a white exterior finish with contrasting graphics inspired by Gupta’s “Serpent Infinity” design language. Gold-finished MG badges replace the chrome units found on the regular models, further distinguishing the Couture Editions.

The Cyberster Couture Edition features orange accent streaks running across its bodywork and two Serpent Infinity badges on the bonnet. The same motif is embroidered on the tonneau cover, adding another bespoke detail to the two-seat electric roadster. Beyond these cosmetic touches, its exterior shape, cabin layout and equipment remain broadly unchanged from the standard Cyberster, with the special edition focusing primarily on its colours, graphics and fashion-inspired identity.

The M9 Couture Edition uses charcoal-coloured body graphics instead of the Cyberster’s orange accents. It receives a Serpent Infinity badge on the front bumper, while decorative elements around the MG emblem are designed to resemble a mythical winged panther. Inside, the dashboard carries a “Couture Edition” inscription, but the rest of the electric MPV’s cabin remains unchanged. The special styling package does not affect the M9’s seating arrangement, comfort-oriented character or powertrain.

Mechanically, the Cyberster retains its 77 kWh battery, dual electric motors and all-wheel-drive system, producing 503 bhp and 725 Nm of torque. MG claims it can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in 3.2 seconds and deliver a MIDC-certified range of 580 km. The M9 continues with a 90 kWh battery and a front-mounted motor generating 241.6 bhp and 350 Nm, with a claimed MIDC range of 548 km.
