Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Price And EMI: Complete Loan And Down Payment Guide

Ertiga EMI, Prices And Downpayment Guide

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is one of the popular multi-purpose vehicles in India's passenger vehicle market, particularly among buyers looking for a practical three-row family car. Sold through Maruti Suzuki's Arena retail network, the Ertiga combines a spacious cabin with everyday usability and a relatively affordable ownership proposition. For prospective buyers considering financing the MPV, the monthly EMI can be an important factor in determining which variant fits their budget.

For this EMI calculation, the base and top-end variants of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga have been considered. The entry-level model is the LXi 1.5L 5MT, priced at ₹8.85 lakh ex-showroom, while the range-topping variant considered is the ZXI+ 1.5L 6AT, priced at ₹12.991 lakh ex-showroom. The actual on-road price will be higher because it includes components such as registration charges, insurance and applicable taxes or fees, depending on the buyer's location.

The EMI calculation assumes that the entire ex-showroom price is financed through a vehicle loan. For the purpose of this guide, an annual interest rate of 9.5% has been considered, with the loan repayment spread over 48 months, or four years. Under these assumptions, a buyer financing the ₹8.85 lakh base variant would have an estimated monthly EMI of approximately ₹22,242. Over the full 48-month repayment period, the total amount paid through the loan would be higher than the original principal because of the interest charged by the lender.

For the top-end ZXI+ 1.5L 6AT variant priced at ₹12,99,100 ex-showroom, the estimated monthly EMI under the same assumptions would be approximately ₹32,660. This figure is based on financing the full ex-showroom price at 9.5% interest for four years. As with the base variant, the total repayment would include both the principal amount and the interest payable over the loan tenure. Buyers making a substantial down payment would, however, borrow less and consequently reduce their monthly EMI and overall interest burden.

The Ertiga's appeal comes from its combination of three-row seating, practicality and relatively accessible pricing. Its cabin is designed to accommodate families who require additional seating capacity, while the MPV format offers flexibility for carrying passengers and luggage. Maruti Suzuki's extensive sales and after-sales network is another factor that contributes to the model's popularity among buyers seeking a family-oriented vehicle with a broad service footprint.

However, the actual EMI offered to an individual buyer can differ from these indicative calculations. Banks and financial institutions determine interest rates based on factors such as the applicant's credit profile, income, loan amount, tenure and other eligibility criteria. In addition, buyers should account for the down payment, on-road costs, insurance, registration and other ownership expenses before finalising their budget. Therefore, the ₹22,242 and ₹32,660 figures should be treated as estimates based on the stated assumptions rather than guaranteed loan offers.
