Jaguar Land Rover Plans To Launch New Electric Vehicles In 2026

Jaguar Land Rover says it will introduce new electric models in 2026 as part of its broader electrification strategy.

Jaguar Land Rover is gearing up for a major electric vehicle (EV) rollout in 2026, with multiple new battery-powered models set to be unveiled as the British luxury automaker accelerates its transition to electrification under its long-term strategy to become an electric-first brand.

At the centre of JLR’s 2026 plans is the all-electric Range Rover, a flagship SUV that has been in development and testing for over two years. The launch of this model will mark the next stage of the Range Rover family’s evolution from internal combustion and hybrid drivetrains to a fully battery-powered offering designed to compete with high-end electric SUVs globally.

In addition to the Range Rover EV, Jaguar Land Rover is expected to reveal new electric models across both Jaguar and Land Rover marques. Industry reports indicate forthcoming launches will likely include updated electric variants of Range Rover Sport and Velar, as well as fresh electric models from Jaguar that expand the brand’s portfolio beyond its initial electric offerings.

One notable development in JLR’s future lineup is the planned debut of the first fully electric Freelander SUV, developed in partnership with Chinese automaker Chery and scheduled for unveiling in early 2026, initially targeting the Chinese market before potential global availability.

These launches form part of a broader electrification offensive, backed by strategic investments in new platforms, production capacity and technology. JLR’s “Reimagine” strategy, aimed at reinventing Jaguar as a pure-electric luxury brand and electrifying much of the Land Rover lineup by the end of the decade, remains a core pillar of the company’s roadmap.

With 2026 poised as a pivotal year for its electric future, Jaguar Land Rover’s upcoming model reveals are expected to bolster its presence in the growing luxury EV segment while signaling a deeper shift away from traditional internal combustion vehicles across its key brands.
