The latest version of the motorcycle completes Jawa’s current “All Stars” modern-classic lineup, which also comprises the Jawa 42 FJ and Jawa 42 Bobber. The company unveiled the updated motorcycle on Wednesday, September 9, as it looks to strengthen its presence in India’s competitive premium motorcycle market. The Jawa 42 continues to combine a traditional motorcycle design with modern mechanical specifications, retaining the identity that has been associated with the model since its introduction.

The Jawa 42 is powered by a 294.72 cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled DOHC engine and comes paired with a six-speed constant-mesh gearbox. The engine and transmission combination is aimed at providing the motorcycle with the performance expected from a mid-capacity modern-classic motorcycle while maintaining its established character. The latest model has received more than 60 enhancements, according to the company, although the available announcement does not detail every individual change.
