Honda Dio 125 X Edition Launched with Bold New Looks

Stylish special edition scooter unveiled with striking dual-tone design and orange wheels.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has introduced the Dio 125 X Edition, a fresh special variant of its popular 125 cc scooter lineup. The new model focuses purely on visual enhancements, bringing no changes to the engine, mechanics, or core hardware. It joins the existing Dio 125 range with an eye-catching appearance aimed at younger riders seeking a more distinctive look without compromising on performance or features.

The standout update comes in the form of dual-tone body panels finished in grey and dark blue, complemented by bold new graphics and exclusive “X Edition” decals that instantly differentiate it from standard versions. Adding to the sporty vibe are vibrant orange alloy wheels that create a sharp contrast and elevate the overall street presence. Beyond these cosmetic upgrades, the scooter remains identical to the H-Smart variant in terms of specifications and equipment.

Dimensionally, the Dio 125 X Edition measures 1,830 mm in length, 707 mm in width, and 1,172 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,260 mm and ground clearance of 171 mm. It tips the scales at 105 kg (kerb) and carries a 5.3-litre fuel tank. The seat length stands at 708 mm, making it practical for daily commuting and pillion comfort.

Feature-wise, the X Edition inherits the premium TFT display, side-stand engine cut-off, and idle stop-start system found on higher trims. Braking continues with a 190 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum, paired with tubeless tyres (90/90-12 front and 90/100-10 rear). Suspension setup includes telescopic forks upfront and a three-step adjustable rear hydraulic unit for balanced ride quality.

Power comes from the familiar 123.92 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled SI engine producing 8.1 hp at 6,500 rpm and 10.5 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. No modifications have been made to the engine tune, CVT transmission, or claimed fuel efficiency, ensuring the same smooth and efficient performance riders already enjoy from the Dio 125 lineup.

While full pricing details are yet to be announced, the Dio 125 X Edition is expected to carry a modest premium over the standard model, offering style-focused buyers an attractive new option in the competitive 125 cc scooter segment.
