Shri Ram School and Global School in Agra received bomb threat emails on Tuesday night, triggering widespread alarm, police said. Bomb disposal and dog squads conducted thorough searches at both schools but found no suspicious items, allowing normal academic activities to resume.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Vinayak Bhosale reported that the threatening emails, received around 12:59 AM, claimed explosives were planted on school premises. The cyber cell’s preliminary investigation points to Kolkata as the origin of the emails, with further probes underway to identify the perpetrators.
This incident follows a wave of similar hoax threats, with 159 schools across Meerut, Kanpur, and Agra targeted, as reported on X.
