Vivo X300 Ultra Confirmed — Global Preview at MWC 2026 as Ultimate Imaging Beast

Vivo's X300 Ultra flagship gets global preview at MWC 2026.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has confirmed that its upcoming flagship, the Vivo X300 Ultra, will make its first global preview at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, scheduled from March 2 to March 5 in Barcelona. The company announced its attendance at the event, positioning the X300 Ultra as the centerpiece of its showcase under the theme "Where Vision Meets." This marks Vivo's strategic push into broader international markets, with the preview signaling an impending global launch for the camera-focused device, unlike some predecessors limited to China.

The Vivo X300 Ultra is anticipated to build on the imaging prowess of the X200 Ultra and X300 series, emphasizing advanced photography capabilities. Leaks and expectations point to a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 200-megapixel primary sensor, potentially a large Sony LYT-series or equivalent for exceptional low-light performance and detail. This is expected to pair with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens offering significant optical zoom, alongside a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with wide field of view and features like laser autofocus, Zeiss optics collaboration, and enhanced video recording. A 50-megapixel front camera is also rumored for high-resolution selfies and 4K video.

Performance-wise, the device is tipped to feature Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset on a 3nm process, delivering top-tier efficiency and power for gaming, multitasking, and AI-driven features. The display is expected to be a premium 6.82-inch 2K LTPO OLED panel with 1440x3168 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, high brightness, and protective Armor Glass or similar reinforcement for durability. Additional highlights include an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, along with modern connectivity like USB 3.2 Type-C.

Battery life stands out as a potential differentiator, with reports suggesting a massive 7,000mAh cell supported by 100W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. This setup could provide extended usage in a flagship segment where endurance remains a priority. Storage configurations may range from 256GB to 1TB with up to 16GB RAM, running on Android 16-based OriginOS 6 for a customized user experience.

Pricing details remain speculative ahead of the official reveal, but tipsters estimate the Vivo X300 Ultra could launch in premium territory, potentially ranging from Rs 1,60,000 to Rs 1,70,000 (approximately $1,900–$2,000) in markets like India, reflecting rising component costs and its high-end positioning. Globally, it is positioned to compete directly with flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, particularly in camera performance.

The MWC preview is expected to offer hands-on glimpses and deeper insights into Vivo's latest premium design language and imaging innovations. While a full launch date beyond the showcase has not been specified, availability could follow shortly after in select international markets, potentially influencing the competitive landscape in the ultra-premium smartphone category as MWC unfolds.
