Samsung Rolls Out One UI 7 Beta 5 for Galaxy S24 Series, Hints at Galaxy S25 Edge Launch

Samsung has unleashed the One UI 7 Beta 5 update for its Galaxy S24 series, bringing a suite of enhancements to users in India, the USA, Germany, Poland, and South Korea.

This latest beta, based on Android 15, introduces the Samsung Log video recording feature—previously exclusive to the Galaxy S24 Ultra and S25 series—to the Galaxy S24 and S24+ models. This capability allows users to capture videos with a logarithmic profile, offering greater dynamic range and post-production flexibility, a boon for content creators. Alongside this, the update packs numerous bug fixes, refining the user experience as Samsung gears up for the stable One UI 7 release slated for April 2025.

The rollout follows a rigorous beta phase that began in December 2024, with the Galaxy S24 series serving as the primary testbed. Posts on X and tech reports highlight the update’s focus on expanding advanced camera features and stabilizing the software, addressing issues like UI glitches and performance hiccups reported in earlier betas. The stable version, first debuted with the Galaxy S25 series in January, will soon extend to older devices, with the S24 lineup expected to lead the pack next month.

Meanwhile, buzz is building around the Galaxy S25 Edge, recently spotted on India’s BIS certification database. This sighting suggests an imminent launch, potentially positioning it as a sleek, cost-effective alternative to the S25 Ultra. As Samsung accelerates its 2025 roadmap, Galaxy fans have plenty to anticipate.
