Xiaomi 17T Series Tipped for May 28 Global Launch; India Debut Expected Soon
Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro are launching globally May 28; an India debut is expected after Redmi Turbo 5.
Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to expand its flagship smartphone lineup with the upcoming Xiaomi 17T series, which is expected to include the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. According to leaks, these devices could make their global debut later this month, potentially around May 28, and may later arrive in India as part of the company’s growing premium portfolio. The new models are expected to join the existing Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, further strengthening the brand’s presence in the flagship segment.
In addition to the 17T series, Xiaomi is also said to be working on the Xiaomi 17 Max, which is currently tipped to launch first in China before making its way to global markets, including India. If these plans materialize, Xiaomi could end up offering up to five flagship-level devices under the Xiaomi 17 lineup in India, making it one of the most extensive premium smartphone series from the brand in recent years.
The Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro are expected to bring notable upgrades in terms of design, performance, and display technology. Early reports suggest that the standard Xiaomi 17T may feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and high pixel density, aiming to deliver a smooth and sharp viewing experience suitable for gaming and multimedia consumption.

On the performance side, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, positioning it as a performance-focused flagship device. The inclusion of this high-end processor indicates Xiaomi’s intent to compete strongly in the upper-premium segment, especially in markets like India where performance-driven smartphones are in high demand.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 Max is expected to stand out with its triple rear camera setup, targeting users who prioritize photography and videography. While detailed specifications are still under wraps, the device is already generating interest due to its expected premium positioning and larger display focus within the lineup.
As per current leaks, pricing for the Xiaomi 17T series could start around EUR 749 (approximately Rs. 83,000) for the base variant, while the Pro model may be priced near EUR 999 (around Rs. 111,000). However, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed any of these details yet, and final specifications and pricing are expected to be revealed closer to launch.
