Xiaomi 17 Series Starts Getting Stable Android 17-Based HyperOS 3 Update
Xiaomi 17 series reportedly receives stable Android 17-based HyperOS 3 update.
Xiaomi has reportedly begun rolling out the stable Android 17-based HyperOS 3 update for its latest flagship smartphones, becoming one of the first Android manufacturers to release a stable version of Google's newest mobile operating system. According to reports, the rollout currently covers the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra in global and European markets, while the Xiaomi 15T Pro is receiving the update through the company's Mi Pilot testing programme. The software also includes the June 2026 Android security patch along with general system stability improvements.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is reportedly receiving HyperOS build version OS3.0.332.0.XPAEUXM in Europe and OS3.0.332.0.XPAMIXM for global users. The update package is approximately 10GB in size. Meanwhile, the standard Xiaomi 17 is said to be receiving OS3.0.331.0.XPCEUXM for European devices and OS3.0.332.0.XPCMIXM for global variants. Both updates are based on Android 17 and are focused on delivering enhanced security, improved performance and bug fixes.
The Xiaomi 15T Pro has also reportedly started receiving the Android 17-based HyperOS 3 update, although the rollout is currently limited to users enrolled in Xiaomi's Mi Pilot testing programme. This phased deployment allows the company to monitor performance and address any issues before expanding availability to a wider user base. A broader public rollout is expected once initial testing is completed successfully.

Despite being based on Android 17, the current HyperOS 3 release reportedly does not include several of Google's headline Android 17 features. Users are said to be missing additions such as app bubbles, screen recording reactions and separate volume controls for Gemini. Instead, Xiaomi appears to have prioritised system reliability, updated system application icons, security enhancements and overall software optimisation in this initial stable release.
Google began rolling out the stable Android 17 update to eligible Pixel smartphones last month, allowing other smartphone manufacturers to begin releasing their customised software based on the latest Android version. While companies such as Samsung are currently testing Android 17 through beta programmes for selected Galaxy devices, Xiaomi's reported stable rollout places it among the earliest manufacturers to deliver the latest Android experience outside Google's Pixel ecosystem.
Although Xiaomi has not officially detailed the complete rollout schedule for all supported devices, the reported update indicates the company's effort to accelerate software support for its flagship smartphones. As the rollout expands over the coming weeks, more eligible Xiaomi devices are expected to receive the Android 17-based HyperOS 3 update, bringing the latest security enhancements and performance improvements to users across global markets.
