Vivo V80 Launch Date, Expected Price, Camera, Display And Battery Details
Vivo V80 brings ZEISS cameras, 144Hz OLED display and 7,200mAh battery.
Vivo is set to launch the Vivo V80 smartphone in India on October 6, with the company confirming several specifications ahead of its debut. The device is expected to focus on its display, camera capabilities and large battery, while its official price has not yet been announced. A recent report has suggested that the phone could be positioned in the premium segment, with the actual selling price expected to be lower than its reported box MRP.
The Vivo V80 will feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The company has confirmed up to 5,000 nits of local peak brightness and support for 1.07 billion colours. The display will have slim 1.25mm bezels, while the smartphone will use a one-piece cold-carved glass design and a floating camera module.
For photography, the Vivo V80 will feature a Zeiss-backed camera setup. It will include a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation and a 50-megapixel Night Telephoto camera supporting 3x optical zoom and up to 100x zoom. The front camera will also have a 50-megapixel sensor with a 92-degree field of view and autofocus. The phone will support 4K Cinematic Video as well as 4K video recording at 60fps.

The smartphone will be powered by a 7,200mAh battery with support for 90W FlashCharge. Vivo claims the battery can deliver up to 14 hours of navigation and up to 39.5 hours of local video playback. The V80 will also be the first model in the company's V-Series to ship with Android 17-based OriginOS 7. AI-powered photography features will include AI Creative Camera, Live Sticker Collage and AI Diwali Portrait 2.0.
The Vivo V80 will be offered in Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black colour options. After its launch, the smartphone is expected to be available through Vivo's India website, Amazon, Flipkart and offline retail stores. According to a Gadgets 360 report, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant could carry a box MRP of Rs 1,19,999, although the publication noted that the actual selling price is generally lower than the printed MRP. Vivo is expected to reveal the final pricing at the October 6 launch.
