Samsung Raises Galaxy M47 5G Price In India Within Days Of Market Debut
Samsung revises Galaxy M47 5G pricing soon after launch.
Samsung has increased the price of its recently launched Galaxy M47 5G in India, raising the cost of all storage variants just days after the smartphone became available for purchase. The revised pricing, now reflected on Amazon India, marks one of the quickest post-launch price revisions in the country's smartphone market, where manufacturers have increasingly adjusted prices in response to rising production costs. The Galaxy M47 5G made its commercial debut only last week, but customers looking to purchase the device will now have to pay substantially more than its original launch price.
While price revisions have become more frequent across the smartphone industry due to higher component, memory and manufacturing costs, such a significant increase within days of launch is relatively uncommon. According to the updated listings on Amazon, the base 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant of the Galaxy M47 5G is now priced at Rs 32,999, compared with its launch price of Rs 25,999. This represents a price increase of Rs 7,000 shortly after the device entered the market.
The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant has also witnessed a sharp revision. Initially introduced at Rs 28,999, the model is now listed at Rs 36,999, reflecting an increase of Rs 8,000. Similarly, the top-end 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version now costs Rs 41,999, up from its original launch price of Rs 33,999, also marking an Rs 8,000 increase.

The revised pricing means prospective buyers will have to pay considerably more than early purchasers who bought the device during its initial sale period. Samsung has not publicly announced the reasons for the immediate increase, but the broader smartphone industry has been dealing with fluctuating component costs, particularly for memory chips, display panels and other key hardware used in modern smartphones.
Over the past year, several smartphone manufacturers have revised prices of existing models following changes in supply chain costs and currency fluctuations. However, such revisions have generally affected devices that had already been on sale for several months. The Galaxy M47 5G's price adjustment stands out because it came almost immediately after the handset's market debut.
Consumers planning to purchase the device are advised to compare prices across authorised retailers and monitor promotional offers, exchange discounts and bank cashback schemes, which may help offset part of the increase. E-commerce platforms often introduce limited-time discounts during sale events that can reduce the effective purchase price despite official revisions.
The latest revision underscores the rapidly changing pricing environment in India's smartphone market. Whether the Galaxy M47 5G's new prices remain permanent or are adjusted during future promotional campaigns remains to be seen. For now, all three storage variants are available at their revised prices on Amazon, making the handset significantly more expensive than it was at launch just days ago.
