Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Likely Getting Stable One UI 8.5 Update this Week

The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is expected to receive a stable One UI 8.5 update starting April 30 in South Korea.

Samsung is reportedly preparing to roll out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series after an extended beta testing phase. According to recent reports, the software update could begin reaching users as early as this week, starting in select markets before expanding globally. Samsung has not yet officially confirmed the release schedule.

The stable rollout is expected to begin in South Korea around April 30, following Samsung’s usual phased deployment strategy. Other key markets, including India and the United States, may receive the update around May 4 if the reported timeline holds. Software rollouts are often staggered, meaning users in different regions may receive the update at different times.

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 beta programme for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra has reportedly been one of the company’s longest testing cycles in recent years. While Samsung commonly releases seven or eight beta builds before launching a stable version, some regions are said to have already reached Beta 10 during the current cycle. The lengthy testing period suggests the company has focused heavily on performance tuning and bug fixes.

Last month, Samsung also expanded the One UI 8.5 beta programme to other devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in markets such as India, the UK, South Korea, and the US. The expected stable release for the Galaxy S25 lineup signals Samsung’s continued effort to provide timely software support and maintain its premium smartphone ecosystem.
