Redmi Drops 200MP OIS Bombshell: Note 15 Pro & Pro+ Now in India

The Redmi Note 15 Pro series launched with a 200MP OIS camera, big batteries and strong IP ratings.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi on Wednesday launched the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ smartphones in India, expanding its popular mid-range lineup. Both devices headline a 200-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), alongside large batteries, AMOLED displays, and high dust and water resistance ratings.

In terms of photography, both smartphones feature a 200MP f/1.7 main sensor capable of recording 4K video at 30fps, supported by an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, the Redmi Note 15 Pro is equipped with a 20MP selfie camera, while the Pro+ variant upgrades to a 32MP front camera with 1080p video recording at 30fps and 60fps.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro and Pro+ share a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and up to 3,200 nits peak brightness. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and both devices carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, offering advanced protection against dust and water. The phones run Android 15 with Xiaomi HyperOS on top.

Powering the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It packs a 6,500mAh battery with 100W HyperCharge support, with a compatible charger included in the box. The phone measures 8.19 mm in thickness and weighs 208 grams and is available in Carbon Black, Mirage Blue, and Coffee Mocha colour options.

The standard Redmi Note 15 Pro is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra processor and features a slightly larger 6,580mAh battery, supporting 45W fast charging and 18W reverse wired charging. It is marginally thicker at 7.96 mm and weighs 210 grams, with colour options including Carbon Black, Mirage Blue, and Silver Ash.

In India, the Redmi Note 15 Pro is priced from ₹26,999, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ starts at ₹34,999, both inclusive of introductory offers. The smartphones will be available for purchase through Amazon and Redmi’s official retail channels.
