OnePlus Nord 6: April 7 Launch Confirmed With Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and 9,000mAh Battery

The OnePlus Nord 6 launches April 7 with powerful specs, a big battery, and competitive pricing.

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is gearing up to launch its upcoming mid-range device, the OnePlus Nord 6, in India in early April 2026. The handset is expected to succeed the OnePlus Nord 5 and will be made available through online channels, including Amazon and the company’s official India store. Ahead of its debut, several details regarding the smartphone’s design, specifications, and features have surfaced through teasers, leaks, and promotional material, offering a comprehensive preview of what consumers can expect.

The company has confirmed that the OnePlus Nord 6 will launch in India on April 7 at 7 pm IST, although it remains unclear whether the unveiling will take place via a dedicated launch event or a soft announcement. A microsite for the device is already live on Amazon, indicating its availability on the e-commerce platform alongside the OnePlus India website. The handset will be offered in three colour variants — Fresh Mint, Pitch Black, and Quick Silver — catering to a range of aesthetic preferences among users.

In terms of pricing, the OnePlus Nord 6 is expected to be positioned in the mid-premium segment, with estimates suggesting a price range between Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 40,000. Reports indicate that the device may carry a premium of Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000 over its predecessor. For context, the OnePlus Nord 5 was launched in July 2025 with a starting price of Rs. 31,999, going up to Rs. 37,999 for higher storage configurations. The upcoming model is also expected to be available in multiple RAM and storage variants, including 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB options.

From a design perspective, the OnePlus Nord 6 is said to closely resemble the China-exclusive OnePlus Turbo 6. The device is expected to feature a flat metal frame and a square-shaped rear camera module housing dual sensors and an LED flash. The layout includes a USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and SIM tray, while physical buttons for power and volume are positioned along the sides. An additional button, possibly the Plus Key, may also be included, enhancing usability.

On the hardware front, the smartphone is confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with an Adreno GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage. The device is expected to run on Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 and feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits. Additional features such as Aqua Touch 2.0 technology aim to improve touch responsiveness even under wet conditions, enhancing overall user experience.

In terms of optics and battery, the OnePlus Nord 6 is likely to sport a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor, accompanied by a secondary monochrome lens, while a 16-megapixel front camera is expected for selfies and video calls. The device is also set to pack a large 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 2.5 days of moderate usage. It will support 80W fast charging and reverse charging capabilities, positioning the handset as a strong contender in the competitive mid-range smartphone market.
