iQOO 15R Becomes India's Slimmest Phone With 7,600mAh Battery
iQOO 15R launches Feb 24 as India's slimmest smartphone packing a 7,600mAh battery.
iQOO is preparing to launch the iQOO 15R in India on February 24, positioning the device as a high-performance smartphone tailored for gamers and power users. In the weeks leading up to the launch, the company has steadily revealed key specifications, highlighting its focus on sustained performance, efficiency, and next-generation software support.
One of the most notable confirmations is the phone’s massive 7,600mAh battery. According to iQOO, the 15R is India’s slimmest smartphone in this battery category, measuring just 7.9mm in thickness. Industry reports corroborate this claim, placing the device ahead of competitors launching with similar battery capacities in the same timeframe.
Under the hood, the iQOO 15R is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The processor is paired with a dedicated Q2 supercomputing chip for enhanced gaming performance and an additional network optimization chip. Together, these components help the device achieve an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 3.5 million, signaling flagship-level performance.

The smartphone is designed with gamers in mind, supporting 1.5K Game Super Resolution and up to 144fps gameplay in BGMI. iQOO claims the device delivers smooth visuals with minimal frame drops or latency. It will run OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, with a long-term commitment of four major Android updates and six years of security patches.
In terms of design, the iQOO 15R features smoother, rounded edges and a refined aesthetic. It will be available in a Dark Knight black finish as well as a blue color variant. The rear houses a square camera module with softened corners, giving the device a clean and modern look.
Photography and display capabilities further strengthen the package. The phone is expected to feature a 200MP primary rear camera paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens, along with a 32MP front camera. On the front, it is tipped to sport a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, alongside IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
