iPhone 18 Pro Max Leak Points to Apple's Boldest Redesign Yet

Apple’s expected iPhone 18 Pro Max has appeared in a new leak outlining several possible hardware upgrades, including a new processor, improved cameras and a larger battery. A separate report, however, claims the company is encountering memory supply constraints as it prepares for the anticipated launch of the iPhone 18 lineup.
Tipster Saurav, who uses the handle @Saurav_DJ47 on X, claims the iPhone 18 Pro Max will feature a 6.9-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED display. The panel is tipped to offer a 120Hz refresh rate alongside HDR10 and Dolby Vision support, indicating that Apple may retain a large premium display while improving its underlying technology.
The handset is also expected to receive Ceramic Shield 2 protection and an anti-reflective coating. Apple could reportedly make the Dynamic Island approximately one-third smaller than its current implementation, potentially increasing the usable display area and giving the front of the device a less obstructed appearance without completely removing the existing cutout design.

According to the leak, the iPhone 18 Pro Max will be powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chipset manufactured using Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s 2-nanometre process. The processor is tipped to include a six-core central processing unit and an eight-core Apple graphics processor, potentially delivering improvements in performance, energy efficiency and demanding on-device applications.
The upcoming model could also carry three 48-megapixel rear cameras and a battery larger than that of its predecessor. However, the leak does not provide complete details about the individual camera sensors, battery capacity or charging specifications. These elements could change before the device enters production, and Apple has not confirmed any of the reported features.
Separately, Apple is reportedly facing constraints in the supply of dynamic random-access memory ahead of the next iPhone launch. A shortage could increase component costs or place pressure on production volumes and schedules. As the information comes from leaks and unofficial reports, the specifications and supply situation should be treated cautiously until Apple makes a formal announcement.
