iPhone 17e to Feature a19 Processor MagSafe In-House C1X Modem at Rs 59900
The iPhone 17e is expected soon with an A19 chip, MagSafe support, and an in-house modem at an unchanged price.
Apple is preparing to launch its next entry-level smartphone, the iPhone 17e, and the device could arrive sooner than expected, according to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The iPhone 17e will succeed last year’s iPhone 16e and is expected to bring several meaningful hardware upgrades while maintaining the same price point, reinforcing Apple’s strategy of offering incremental improvements without repositioning the product.
The report suggests that Apple plans to price the iPhone 17e at $599 in the United States, roughly equivalent to ₹54,250. If the company follows its previous pricing pattern, the Indian price is likely to remain close to the iPhone 16e’s launch price of ₹59,900 for the 128GB variant. This would mark another year without a price hike in Apple’s entry-level lineup, despite notable internal upgrades.
One of the biggest changes is expected to be the inclusion of the A19 chip, the same processor likely to power the standard iPhone 17 models. This would place the iPhone 17e on the same silicon platform as Apple’s higher-end devices, offering improved performance and long-term software support compared to earlier entry-level models.

Another key upgrade could be the addition of MagSafe support, which was missing from the iPhone 16e. With MagSafe, users would be able to attach magnetic accessories and use compatible wireless chargers, bringing the iPhone 17e closer in functionality to Apple’s premium models.
The report also points to updates in Apple’s in-house wireless technology. The iPhone 17e is expected to feature Apple’s newer C1X cellular modem along with the N1 networking chip, building on the company’s efforts to reduce reliance on third-party suppliers. Beyond these changes, Apple is not expected to significantly alter the phone’s design, focusing instead on a steady, value-driven upgrade for budget-conscious buyers.
