Infinix HOT 70 Pro: 144Hz Display, Dimensity 7100 and More

Infinix HOT 70 Pro launches in India with 144Hz display.

Infinix has launched the HOT 70 Pro in India, bringing a 144Hz Full-HD+ display, MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset and a distinctive colour-changing rear-panel design to the sub-₹25,000 smartphone segment. The company is offering the phone in four finishes — Thermo Orange, Mirage Green, Silk Glow Purple and Dive Blue — with each variant featuring a different visual treatment. Infinix has also focused heavily on the rear design, introducing its Active Matrix Cube for notifications, entertainment and interactive features.

The HOT 70 Pro uses Infinix’s Dynamic Shine Design, with the four colour options offering different effects. Thermo Orange uses a thermochromic finish that changes colour depending on temperature, while Mirage Green reacts to ultraviolet light and can glow in the dark. Silk Glow Purple has a texture that changes with the viewing angle, whereas Dive Blue uses a comparatively understated matte finish. The phone measures up to 7.85mm in thickness and is designed with a smooth finish for everyday handling.

A major highlight is the Active Matrix Cube integrated into the rear panel. Unlike a conventional notification light, the system provides visual effects for incoming calls, messages, charging, low battery alerts, camera activity, countdowns and weather information. It can also react to music playback and gaming. Users can access simple games such as Lucky Wheel and Lucky Numbers, while Matrix Studio allows them to create personalised patterns and emojis, giving the rear panel an additional interactive element.

The smartphone features a 6.76-inch Full-HD+ punch-hole display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Infinix claims the screen can reach up to 910 nits of High Brightness Mode, while the display offers a screen-to-body ratio of up to 91.86%. The high refresh rate is aimed at providing smoother scrolling, animations and supported gaming experiences, while the smaller punch-hole cutout leaves more usable space for viewing content.

For photography, the HOT 70 Pro is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera. The camera system includes Live Photo Mode and an AI Eraser feature designed to remove unwanted objects from photographs. An 8MP front-facing camera is provided for selfies and video calls. On the performance front, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset, featuring an octa-core CPU and Mali-G57 GPU. Infinix says the device can support gaming at up to 90 frames per second in compatible titles.

The HOT 70 Pro also comes with UFS 2.2 storage and 5G connectivity, with Infinix highlighting software and hardware optimisations for multitasking, app switching and gaming. The combination of a high-refresh-rate display, 5G processor, AI-assisted camera features and distinctive rear design gives the smartphone a strong feature-focused proposition in its price segment. With the Active Matrix Cube and colour-changing finishes serving as its key differentiators, the HOT 70 Pro is positioned as a device aimed at buyers looking for both performance features and a more distinctive smartphone design.
