Honor unveils Magic 8 Pro globally with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 200MP camera, and massive battery.
Honor has officially launched the Magic 8 Pro globally after its China debut last month, positioning it as a flagship contender powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3nm) chipset paired with Adreno 840 GPU for exceptional performance in gaming and multitasking. Available in markets like Malaysia, the global variant features a 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery—slightly smaller than the Chinese 7,200mAh version—with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, ensuring all-day endurance and rapid top-ups. Priced at RM 4,599 (approx. Rs 99,000) for 12GB RAM + 512GB and RM 5,199 (Rs 1,12,000) for 16GB + 1TB, it comes in Black, Sunrise Gold, and Sky Cyan, contrasting China's CNY 5,999 (Rs 73,900) starting 12GB + 256GB in Velvet Black, Snow White, Azure Glaze, and Sunrise Gold Sand.
The 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display delivers 1.5K (1,256x2,808) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, and peak 6,000nits brightness protected by Giant Rhino Glass, offering immersive visuals with 4320Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort. Running MagicOS 10 on Android 16 with up to seven major upgrades, it supports up to 16GB RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. Dimensions measure 161.15x75x8.32mm at 219g with fiber-reinforced plastic back, SIM options including eSIM, and comprehensive sensors like ultrasonic under-display fingerprint, accelerometer, gyroscope, and infrared.
Camera enthusiasts will appreciate the triple rear setup: a 200MP 1/1.4-inch periscope telephoto with 3.7x optical and 100x digital zoom, 50MP 1/1.3-inch main (CIPA 5.5) with OIS, and 50MP ultra-wide, all enhanced by laser AF, color spectrum sensor, and 4K@120fps video with gyro-EIS. The front boasts a 50MP selfie camera with TOF 3D depth sensor for secure biometrics and 4K video. Audio includes stereo speakers, while connectivity spans 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 (aptX HD/Adaptive/Lossless, LHDC 5), NFC, USB Type-C 3.2, and satellite SOS (China-only).

Additional features include an AI button, large-amplitude speakers, and no 3.5mm jack or microSD slot.
