Flipkart Summer Sale To Offer Deals On Android Phones Starting May 9

Flipkart has announced early deals ahead of its upcoming Summer Sale, scheduled to begin on May 9 in India, offering discounts on a wide range of electronics, including Android smartphones from leading brands such as Motorola, Realme, Oppo, Samsung, Google, Vivo, Nothing, and Poco. The early bird offers are already live on the platform, allowing customers to access select deals before the official sale begins.

The company’s Summer Sale is expected to compete directly with the Amazon Great Summer Sale and will feature price cuts across multiple categories such as smartphones, laptops, air conditioners, audio devices, washing machines, and storage products. Flipkart has also begun teasing smartphone deals, highlighting discounted prices on several popular mid-range Android devices aimed at budget-conscious buyers looking for upgrades.

Among the key smartphone offers, the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will be available at Rs. 24,999, down from its original price of Rs. 26,999, offering a discount of up to Rs. 2,000. Other Motorola devices such as the Edge 60 Pro and Moto G06 Power are expected to be priced at Rs. 27,999 and Rs. 9,499 respectively, compared to their earlier listed prices of Rs. 29,999 and Rs. 9,999. These offers position Motorola strongly in the mid-range segment during the sale period.

Oppo smartphones are also part of the promotional lineup, with the Oppo K14 5G expected to be available at Rs. 17,999 instead of Rs. 19,999. The Oppo K14x 5G will reportedly be priced at Rs. 14,499, down from Rs. 14,999. Flipkart has indicated that similar discounts will be extended to other brands including Samsung, Google, Vivo, Realme, and Nothing, although final pricing may vary depending on additional offers and availability.

Beyond direct price reductions, Flipkart is also offering additional benefits such as up to 10% instant discount on SBI credit card transactions and EMI purchases. Customers using Flipkart SBI credit cards can also avail up to 5% cashback, with savings going up to Rs. 1,000 on non-EMI purchases and Rs. 1,500 on EMI transactions. Flipkart Plus and Black members will receive 24-hour early access to select deals before the sale opens to the general public.

The company said the sale is aimed at boosting consumer demand ahead of the summer season, particularly for mid-range Android smartphones that remain in high demand in India. With combined discounts, cashback offers, and exchange bonuses, the effective prices of several devices are expected to drop significantly, making the event one of the major online retail sales of the season.
