Apple Set To Launch Foldable iPhone Ultra With One Of Largest Batteries
Apple’s foldable iPhone Ultra may feature a 5,800mAh battery and advanced hinge design.
Apple is reportedly preparing to launch its first foldable iPhone, widely speculated to be called the “iPhone Ultra,” with new leaks suggesting it could feature one of the largest batteries ever seen in a foldable smartphone.
According to a video by Front Page Tech, the upcoming device may include a 5,800mAh battery, significantly higher than most current foldable phones. The report claims Apple has managed to accommodate this larger battery by using a more compact display driver, freeing up valuable internal space within the device’s foldable design.
The foldable iPhone is also expected to feature a highly refined display system, including a 7.8-inch inner screen and a 5.5-inch outer display. Leaks suggest that the device will have a minimal crease of approximately 0.15 mm, enabled by a redesigned hinge mechanism that could incorporate advanced display technology from Samsung and a liquid metal hinge with 3D-printed components.

In terms of performance, the device is rumoured to be powered by Apple’s next-generation 2nm A20 Pro chipset, along with a custom C2 modem. The camera setup may include dual 48-megapixel rear sensors, while the design is said to resemble the camera layout seen on devices by Google, particularly its Pixel series.
The iPhone Ultra could also introduce changes to Apple’s biometric systems. Reports suggest the company may replace Face ID with a Touch ID sensor integrated into the power button. Additionally, Apple is believed to be testing an under-display front camera for the inner screen, potentially offering a seamless viewing experience without visible cutouts.
While Apple has not officially confirmed any details, the growing number of leaks points to a significant redesign and a strong push into the foldable smartphone segment. If launched as expected later this year, the iPhone Ultra could mark one of Apple’s most ambitious hardware innovations in recent years.
