Apple Drops iOS 26.3: Android Switch Tool, Offline Lyrics, and Bug Fixes Arrive

Apple has rolled out the iOS 26.3 update for iPhone, introducing an Android migration tool, enhancements to Apple Music, and a series of bug fixes. The update, released on Wednesday, is available for iPhone 11 and later models and marks the third major update to iOS 26, which first debuted in September alongside the iPhone 17 series.

A key addition in iOS 26.3 is a new Android-to-iPhone migration feature designed to simplify switching between platforms. According to Apple’s release notes, users can now transfer data without needing to separately download companion apps from Apple or Google. The process supports moving apps, messages, notes, passwords, phone numbers, photos, and other data. However, some reports suggest the migration experience may not be entirely seamless, which could explain Apple’s relatively low-key promotion of the feature.

The update also brings notable changes to Apple Music. The Favourite Songs playlist is now accessible directly from the Top Picks section on the app’s home page, offering quicker access to frequently played tracks. Additionally, users can download lyrics for songs and view them offline — a feature aimed at improving usability when internet connectivity is limited.

Beyond new features, iOS 26.3 addresses several bugs reported in earlier versions of the operating system. Apple has not detailed each fix publicly but says the update improves overall system stability and performance.

Users can install the update by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update on eligible devices. After selecting “Download & Install” and accepting the terms, the iPhone will begin the installation process, which may involve multiple restarts. Apple recommends backing up devices before updating to ensure data security.
