Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Book Pro 16 (2025) and Redmi Book Pro 14 (2025) yesterday, February 27, at 7 PM local time in China, alongside the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, marking its latest stab at the premium laptop market. These machines, launched during the “Ultra” event, pack Intel’s second-gen Core Ultra processors and hefty batteries.

The Redmi Book Pro 16 (2025) sports a 16-inch 3.1K (3072 x 1920) IPS display with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness. It’s powered by either the Core Ultra 5 225H or Ultra 7 255H, paired with 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM at 8400 MT/s and a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Its 99 Wh battery—touted for 30 hours—charges via a 140W GaN adapter. Priced at CNY 6,499 (₹77,000) for the Ultra 5 and CNY 7,499 (₹89,000) for the Ultra 7, it weighs 1.88 kg at 15.9 mm thick.

The Redmi Book Pro 14 (2025) opts for a 14-inch 2.8K (2880 x 1800) screen at 120 Hz with 500 nits. It mirrors the Pro 16’s processor options but offers 16 GB or 32 GB RAM configs, starting at CNY 5,699 (₹68,000) for the Ultra 5 with 16 GB, up to CNY 6,999 (₹83,000) for the Ultra 7 with 32 GB. Its 80 Wh battery lasts 31 hours, charged by a 100W GaN adapter, in a 1.45 kg frame.

Both feature Xiaomi’s AIPC Engine for AI tasks and Apple device syncing, with upgraded cooling—34.4% better heat dissipation. Available now in China, global plans remain unconfirmed. Posts on X praise the battery life but note it’s China-only for now
