HP OmniBook Ultra 16 and X 14 Feature Nvidia RTX Spark With 128GB Unified Memory

HP unveils two OmniBook laptops featuring Nvidia's new RTX Spark AI superchip globally.

HP has unveiled the next-generation OmniBook Ultra 16 (2026) and OmniBook X 14 (2026) laptops powered by Nvidia's newly announced RTX Spark superchip. The announcement was made alongside Nvidia's GPU Technology Conference (GTC), where the chipmaker introduced the RTX Spark platform as a powerful all-in-one solution designed for artificial intelligence workloads. HP claims that the new OmniBook models will be the world's thinnest laptops to feature the RTX Spark chip, positioning them as premium devices aimed at developers, creators, AI practitioners, and advanced users.

While HP has not yet disclosed detailed specifications, pricing, or regional availability, the company confirmed that both laptops will launch in select global markets later this year. Additional information regarding configurations and pricing is expected closer to the commercial release date. The laptops are being marketed as next-generation AI PCs capable of running advanced AI applications and personal agents directly on the device without relying heavily on cloud-based computing resources.

According to HP, the OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14 are designed to deliver a combination of portability, performance, and long battery life. The company said the devices will feature Nvidia's full-stack AI platform and RTX technologies, enabling users to handle demanding workloads while maintaining mobility. HP executives stated that the new systems are intended to simplify AI development by combining powerful hardware with pre-configured environments and open-source tools that reduce setup complexity and accelerate deployment.

At the heart of the laptops is Nvidia's RTX Spark superchip, which combines multiple computing components into a single platform. The chipset integrates an Nvidia Blackwell RTX graphics processor, a custom 20-core Grace CPU developed jointly by Nvidia and MediaTek, a neural processing unit, a modem, and support for up to 128GB of unified memory. Nvidia says the platform can deliver up to one petaflop of FP4 AI performance and includes advanced fifth-generation Tensor cores designed to accelerate artificial intelligence and machine learning tasks.

Nvidia has outlined several high-performance capabilities for the RTX Spark platform. The company claims the chip can render 3D scenes larger than 90GB, edit 12K-resolution video, generate 4K AI-created videos, and run large language models containing up to 120 billion parameters with context windows reaching one million tokens. These capabilities are aimed at professionals working in content creation, software development, scientific computing, and generative AI applications.

The announcement reflects a broader industry push toward AI-focused personal computing, with major technology companies increasingly integrating dedicated AI hardware into consumer and professional devices. As demand grows for local AI processing and advanced machine-learning capabilities, HP's new OmniBook series and Nvidia's RTX Spark platform are expected to compete in the rapidly evolving market for AI-powered laptops.
