iPhone 17 Now Costs ₹99,900 as Apple Raises Prices Across The Board

Apple raises iPhone 17 and iPhone Air prices sharply in India.

Apple has increased the prices of the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air in India following the launch of its latest iPhone lineup. The iPhone 17, which was introduced in India at ₹82,900, is now priced at ₹99,900, representing an increase of ₹17,000. The iPhone Air has also become significantly more expensive, with its price rising from ₹1,19,900 to ₹1,49,900.

The revised pricing represents a substantial increase for consumers considering Apple's previous-generation models. The iPhone 17's new price is more than 20% higher than its launch price, while the iPhone Air has seen a ₹30,000 increase. The price revisions come after Apple unveiled its new iPhone lineup, changing the company's current product and pricing structure in the Indian market.

Apple's latest product strategy has also involved changes to the availability of its existing models. The company has discontinued the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, removing the two higher-end models from its current official lineup. The changes mean consumers looking for Apple's smartphones will now have to consider the revised prices and the models that remain available.

The iPhone 17 was earlier positioned as the standard model in Apple's flagship smartphone range in India, with its ₹82,900 starting price making it relatively more accessible than the Pro variants. Its new ₹99,900 price places it considerably closer to the premium segment. The increase could therefore affect consumers who were considering purchasing the phone after the arrival of Apple's newer models.

The iPhone Air has recorded an even larger increase in absolute terms. Its price has risen by ₹30,000 from the earlier ₹1,19,900 price to ₹1,49,900. The revised pricing makes the device substantially more expensive for Indian buyers and reflects the broader changes Apple has made to its smartphone portfolio following the latest launch.

The price changes come as Apple reshapes its iPhone lineup in India following the introduction of its latest generation. With the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air now carrying higher prices and the iPhone 17 Pro models discontinued, consumers have fewer options at the earlier price points. The revised prices are expected to be a key consideration for buyers evaluating Apple's current smartphone range.
