SpaceXAI Launches Grok Bot Designed To Function Like A Team of AI Agents
SpaceXAI introduces Grok bot with multi-agent capabilities.
SpaceXAI has introduced a new artificial intelligence product called Grok Bot, designed to handle professional tasks through a network of AI agents working together. The product is positioned as the latest move by Elon Musk’s AI venture to compete with rivals including Anthropic and OpenAI in the rapidly expanding market for AI agents.
According to the company, Grok Bot can sign into different applications and websites, retain information from previous assignments and allow individual AI bots to exchange information and context. The system is intended to let businesses delegate a range of tasks to multiple AI agents rather than relying on a single chatbot to complete an assignment from start to finish.
SpaceXAI has been expanding its AI offerings as competition intensifies around AI agents capable of performing tasks with greater autonomy. The company released its first coding agent in May and later introduced Grok 4.5, built with Cursor. SpaceX also reached a $60 billion agreement in June to acquire Cursor, an AI coding startup that became prominent as demand grew for software tools capable of writing and debugging code.

The shift towards teams of AI agents is also being explored by SpaceXAI’s major competitors. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently met with US lawmakers in Washington, where the development of AI agents capable of coordinating with one another for professional work was among the topics discussed. The trend reflects the broader push within the technology industry to move beyond conversational AI towards systems that can independently execute multi-step assignments.
SpaceXAI said it has already been using Grok Bot internally across its engineering, growth and marketing teams. The company said its sales staff have used the system to identify potential new accounts and prepare emails overnight, while its finance team has used it to retrieve receipts from email. The product is designed to simplify the process of assigning different responsibilities to groups, or swarms, of AI agents.
Musk’s AI venture, previously known as xAI, has also been seeking to expand adoption of its Grok products among banks, investment firms and other businesses. The company is pursuing greater commercial revenue as Musk pushes to integrate artificial intelligence more deeply into his broader business ambitions. During a recent SpaceX earnings call, Musk indicated that progress was being made on AI and that the next Grok model, Grok 4.6, could be released as soon as this week.
