Sennheiser Introduces CX 80U And HD 400U Wired USB Type-C Headphones In India
Sennheiser launches CX 80U and HD 400U in India with USB Type-C connectivity and high-resolution audio support.
Sennheiser has expanded its audio lineup in India with the launch of two new wired headphones, the CX 80U and HD 400U. Both models come with USB Type-C connectivity and are designed to deliver high-resolution digital audio playback of up to 24-bit/96kHz. The company is positioning these products as plug-and-play solutions for users who prefer stable, low-latency wired audio without the need for pairing or charging.
The Sennheiser CX 80U is an in-ear model featuring a 9.7mm dynamic driver and a lightweight design weighing approximately 14.3 grams. It offers a frequency response range of 17Hz to 20,000Hz, 28-ohm impedance, and a sound pressure level of 119dB. The earphones come with three sizes of ear tips for a secure fit and passive noise isolation, and are available in Black, Sakura, and White colour options. It also includes a 1.2-meter cable and inline smart controls.
The Sennheiser HD 400U, on the other hand, is a closed-back over-ear headphone designed for more immersive listening. It features dynamic drivers with an 18Hz to 20,000Hz frequency response, 18-ohm impedance, and a 120dB sound pressure level. Weighing 217 grams, the model includes a foldable design, replaceable ear pads, and a 1.4-meter detachable cable, allowing users to switch between USB Type-C and analogue connections for added flexibility.

In terms of pricing and availability, the CX 80U is priced at Rs. 1,990, while the HD 400U is priced at Rs. 5,990 in India. Both models are available starting Wednesday through Sennheiser’s official website, as well as on Amazon, Flipkart, and at leading offline retailers including Croma and Reliance Digital stores across the country.
The company has equipped both models with MEMS microphones and omnidirectional pickup patterns, enabling clear voice capture for calls and voice assistant use. Inline controls are also included for managing playback and calls directly from the cable. With support for high-resolution audio and a focus on low-latency performance, both the CX 80U and HD 400U are aimed at users who need reliable wired headphones for gaming, streaming, work calls, and everyday listening, combining convenience with consistent audio quality.
