Nitin Nabin Visits Uttarakhand To Review BJP Organisation And Election Plans
Nitin Nabin visits Uttarakhand for BJP election strategy discussions.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin has begun a two-day visit to Uttarakhand starting Friday, with the primary focus on strengthening the party’s organisational structure ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections scheduled for February next year. The visit is aimed at reviewing ground-level preparedness, improving coordination among party units, and ensuring that the BJP enters the electoral season with a unified strategy across the state. Party leaders describe the tour as an important step in maintaining momentum after recent political and governance developments in the region.
During his visit, Nabin is scheduled to hold detailed discussions with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, senior state BJP leaders, and organisational office bearers. These meetings are expected to cover a wide range of issues, including evaluation of ongoing political activities, implementation of government welfare schemes, and feedback from district-level leadership. The discussions will also focus on identifying gaps in outreach and strengthening communication between the state leadership and grassroots workers.
According to party sources, a key part of the visit will involve interaction with district presidents, local representatives, and key booth-level functionaries to assess the BJP’s performance at the grassroots level. The leadership is expected to gather feedback on voter sentiment, organisational discipline, and the effectiveness of ongoing party programmes. Emphasis will also be placed on expanding outreach in rural and semi-urban regions, where electoral competition is often more intense.

The BJP leadership is also likely to focus on consolidating internal coordination and improving campaign preparedness ahead of the elections. Party officials said discussions may include strategies for mobilising support, strengthening booth management systems, and ensuring better delivery of central and state welfare schemes to the public. The visit is being seen as part of a broader effort to keep the organisation active, responsive, and electorally competitive in Uttarakhand.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Dhami chaired a Cabinet meeting in which several key administrative decisions were approved, including the purchase of 250 buses for the transport department to improve connectivity across the state. The government also announced measures aimed at supporting acid attack survivors and improving access to welfare services. Officials said the decisions were intended to enhance public infrastructure and social support systems across Uttarakhand.
In a post on social media platform X, CM Dhami said the Cabinet had taken decisions centred on development, governance, and public welfare. He highlighted reforms related to transport expansion, mining regulation updates, legal service improvements, and strengthening of forest administration systems. Later, he visited Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar district, where he interacted with residents and children, describing the engagement as emotionally uplifting and expressing confidence in the younger generation’s role in shaping the state’s future.
