Moto Tag 2 With UWB Tracking And 600-Day Battery Life Launched in Global Markets

Motorola has launched the Moto Tag 2 tracker featuring Ultra-Wideband technology and over 600 days of battery life.

Motorola has officially launched the Moto Tag 2 in select international markets months after first unveiling the accessory at CES 2027. The smart tracker arrives with support for ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, Bluetooth channel sounding, and compatibility with Google’s Find Hub network, positioning it as a competitor to popular item trackers in the global market.

The Moto Tag 2 is currently available in countries including Germany and the United Kingdom. The tracker is priced at EUR 29.99 in Germany and GBP 40 in the UK, while a four-pack bundle is listed in the United States for $119.99. Motorola has introduced the device in Pantone Arabesque and Pantone Laurel Oak colour options, giving users two minimalist finish choices.

One of the biggest highlights of the Moto Tag 2 is its support for UWB tracking technology, which allows users to locate tagged objects with greater precision. The tracker also includes Bluetooth channel sounding technology to improve item-finding accuracy. It works with Google’s Find Hub ecosystem, enabling Android users to monitor belongings such as wallets, luggage, keys, bags, and camera gear directly through the Moto Tag app.

Motorola says users can customise ringtone settings, adjust sound levels, and monitor battery status using the companion application. The tracker can also help users locate their smartphones through a dedicated button press. In addition to tracking functionality, the Moto Tag 2 doubles as a remote camera shutter, allowing users to control their smartphone camera remotely for hands-free photography and group shots.

The device features a compact design and supports a variety of third-party accessories and holders, making it easy to attach to travel bags, keychains, or equipment. Motorola has also equipped the tracker with an IP68-rated build for resistance against dust and water exposure, improving durability for outdoor and travel use.

Another major feature is its claimed battery performance. Motorola states that the Moto Tag 2 can deliver more than 600 days of usage on a single replaceable CR2032 battery. The tracker also includes Android safety features designed to alert users if an unknown tracking device appears to be travelling with them, helping address privacy and security concerns associated with smart trackers.
