iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max: Features, Details And What Buyers Should Know
Key details for buyers considering Apple’s upcoming Pro models.
Apple has launched the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, bringing upgrades to the camera system, displays, battery performance and processing capabilities. The new Pro models are powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chipset and offer storage options ranging from 256GB to 2TB, giving buyers several configurations to choose from.
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are available in four finishes — Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy. Both models offer 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage variants. The Pro features a 6.3-inch display with Ceramic Shield 2, while the Pro Max gets a larger 6.9-inch display along with the same upgraded protection.
Photography is another major area of focus for the new models. Both smartphones feature an 18MP Centre Stage front camera with an ƒ/1.9 aperture, autofocus with Focus Pixels and features including Retina Flash, tap to zoom and rotate, Centre Stage photography, ultra-stabilised video and Dual Capture. At the rear, Apple has introduced a new 48MP Pro Fusion camera system, including a main camera with a physical variable aperture and upgraded ultra-wide and telephoto cameras.

Battery life has also been improved, with Apple claiming that the iPhone 18 Pro can deliver up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge. The larger iPhone 18 Pro Max is rated for up to 30 hours of battery life. The Pro Max also features an upgraded vapour chamber cooling system intended to help maintain performance during sustained workloads.
Under the hood, both smartphones are powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chipset and feature the company’s C2 modem. The combination of the newer processor and improved cooling is designed to support demanding applications and maintain performance over longer periods. The hardware upgrades position the two models as Apple's high-end smartphone offerings in the new generation.
In India, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs 1,64,900 for the 256GB version and goes up to Rs 3,14,900 for the 2TB model. The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,79,900 and reaches Rs 3,29,900 for the 2TB variant. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin on September 12 at 5:30 PM IST, with sales and shipping starting September 18, while US prices begin at $1,199 for the Pro and $1,299 for the Pro Max.
