Sidra Amin Surpasses Harmanpreet Kaur In ICC Women's ODI Rankings After Century

Pakistan batter Sidra Amin has returned to the top 10 of the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings following her impressive century against Sri Lanka in the ongoing ICC Women’s Championship series. The experienced right-hander moved up one place to ninth position, surpassing India captain Harmanpreet Kaur in the latest rankings update released by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Sidra has been Pakistan’s leading performer with the bat in the first two ODIs of the series, producing a composed hundred in the second match. The innings marked her seventh ODI century and helped her regain a place among the elite batters in the format. Pakistan opener Gull Feroza also benefited from the rankings update, climbing 18 places to 54th position after making important contributions during the series.

Despite Pakistan posting a strong total of 273/5 in the second ODI, Sri Lanka successfully chased down the target with 19 balls remaining. The victory was powered by impressive batting performances from Sri Lankan players, several of whom made significant gains in the latest ICC rankings.

Sri Lanka opener Vishmi Gunarathne was the biggest mover among the batters after her match-winning 123-run innings. The century helped her rise 16 places to 39th position in the ODI batting rankings. Other Sri Lankan batters also improved their standings, with Harshita Samarawickrama moving up three places to 17th, Nilakshika Silva climbing two spots to 24th and Kavisha Dilhari advancing five places to 38th.

Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu continued to strengthen her position as one of the leading all-rounders in women’s cricket. She moved up one place to eighth in the ODI all-rounders’ rankings, while her bowling performances also helped her climb three positions among ODI bowlers. Dilhari’s consistent contributions with both bat and ball were also rewarded, as she moved up to 14th among ODI all-rounders and improved to 36th among bowlers.

Pakistan’s bowling department also saw positive movement in the rankings. Off-spinner Umm-e-Hani gained 11 places to reach 53rd position among ODI bowlers, while spinner Syeda Aroob Shah made a similar jump to share 63rd place. The latest rankings reflect the strong individual performances from both teams during the opening matches of the ICC Women’s Championship series.
