Rinku Singh Reacts After Raghuvanshi Run-Out As KKR Suffer Heavy Loss To SRH
Raghuvanshi’s run-out sparks Rinku’s reaction as KKR falter badly in chase against SRH in IPL 2026.
Rinku Singh expressed visible frustration after a costly run-out involving teammate Angkrish Raghuvanshi during IPL 2026 clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Eden Gardens on Thursday.
Raghuvanshi, who had been one of the few bright spots for Kolkata, played a fluent knock of 52 off 29 balls. However, his innings ended in unfortunate fashion following a miscommunication with Rinku Singh. Attempting a quick single after cutting the ball toward backward point, Raghuvanshi had already committed to the run when Rinku called him back, leaving the young batter stranded midway down the pitch.
Fielder Ehsan Malinga reacted quickly, collecting the ball and throwing it to Shivang Kumar, who completed the run-out at the non-striker’s end. Following the dismissal, cameras captured Rinku visibly upset, gesturing in frustration—an indication of the growing tension within the KKR batting unit. Notably, Raghuvanshi had earlier been involved in another mix-up that resulted in the run-out of Cameron Green.

The incident summed up Kolkata’s struggles in the match, as they failed to build partnerships during a challenging chase. Despite a strong batting lineup featuring players like Finn Allen and Sunil Narine, the team lacked coordination and momentum, ultimately collapsing for 161 in just 16 overs while chasing a steep target.
Earlier, Heinrich Klaasen anchored Sunrisers Hyderabad’s innings with a composed 52 off 35 balls, guiding his side to a formidable total of 226/8. Contributions from bowlers further strengthened SRH’s position, with Jaydev Unadkat picking up three crucial wickets, while Malinga and Nitish Kumar Reddy chipped in with two wickets each.
Kolkata’s bowling unit also struggled to contain the opposition, with Varun Chakravarthy and Narine failing to make an impact. The 65-run defeat marked KKR’s second consecutive loss of the season, raising concerns about team coordination and execution as the tournament progresses.
