Rajasthan Royals Batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Faces Discomfort After Siraj Delivery In IPL 2026

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi appeared in discomfort after Mohammed Siraj’s yorker in IPL 2026 match.

Rajasthan Royals youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi endured a painful moment during their IPL 2026 clash against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday after a sharp yorker from Mohammed Siraj struck him on the boot, leaving him briefly in visible discomfort.

The incident occurred after Sooryavanshi had once again launched an aggressive start to the innings. The 15-year-old, who has been one of Rajasthan’s most explosive batters this season, began his chase of 230 runs with fearless intent, smashing Siraj for a six off the very first ball he faced and continuing his assault against the Gujarat bowling attack.

Sooryavanshi’s attacking approach saw him dominate the early overs, including two sixes off Kagiso Rabada and additional boundaries against Siraj before his dismissal. However, in between his aggressive strokeplay, Siraj delivered a well-directed yorker that jammed the batter and deflected onto his right boot, causing immediate pain.

The teenager collapsed briefly after the impact, with physios rushing onto the field to assess the injury. The blow appeared to land near the ankle area, forcing Sooryavanshi to pause momentarily before continuing his innings. Despite the discomfort, he resumed batting, although he was seen moving cautiously for a short period.

Sooryavanshi eventually fell for a quick 36 off 16 balls, an innings that included three fours and three sixes, as Rajasthan Royals began their steep chase of Gujarat’s imposing 229/4. His dismissal came after a lively powerplay in which he continued to demonstrate his reputation for fearless hitting against top-quality bowling attacks.

The young batter has been in outstanding form throughout the IPL 2026 season, emerging as Rajasthan’s leading run-scorer with 440 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate above 230. His rapid rise has included multiple explosive knocks, reinforcing his status as one of the most exciting young talents in the tournament.
