Yuvraj Sandhu Sets New PGTI Record: Seventh Title Win in 2025 Season
Yuvraj Sandhu wins record seventh PGTI title of 2025 at TATA Open in Jamshedpur with final-round 65.
Yuvraj Sandhu created history on Sunday by winning the TATA Open 2025, securing his record seventh Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) title in a single season. The 28-year-old shot a final-round six-under 65, finishing at 20-under 264 at the Beldih and Golmuri Golf Courses, clinching the title by a single stroke over 21-year-old Shubham Jaglan.
Sandhu had already wrapped up the 2025 PGTI Order of Merit with his sixth victory earlier in Delhi, equaling the previous record of six wins in a season held by Manu Gandas. With this triumph, he now holds the record outright and has earned his card for the 2026 DP World Tour.
Jaglan, who competed neck-and-neck with Sandhu throughout the final round, carded a bogey-free five-under 66 to finish 19-under 265, registering his second runner-up finish in just his third PGTI appearance. Khalin Joshi and Veer Ahlawat tied for third at 14-under 270, rounding out a competitive leaderboard.

Sandhu’s victory earned him Rs 30 lakh, bringing his season earnings to a record Rs 1.91 crore, surpassing Veer Ahlawat’s 2024 record of Rs 1.56 crore. His season included seven wins and seven additional top-10 finishes, showcasing unmatched consistency and dominance on the tour.
The final-round drama saw Sandhu deliver a decisive birdie on the 18th hole, overcoming earlier bogeys to seal the title. “This has been my best season ever,” Sandhu said. “Winning seven titles, including Delhi Golf Club and the TATA Open, has been special. I’m excited to take this momentum to the DP World Tour next year.”
The 2025 season also highlighted rising talent, with 17-year-old rookie Manoj S of Bengaluru winning the PGTI Emerging Player of the Year award. Manoj finished tied 12th at the TATA Open, earning Rs 37.2 lakh and securing a 21st position on the PGTI Order of Merit, cementing his place as one of India’s promising young golfers.
