Stasya Pandya Eyes Global Stage as Teen Equestrian Rises in India

Teen equestrian Stasya Pandya wins medals and targets global stage.

Fourteen-year-old equestrian rider Stasya Pandya, who has emerged as one of India’s most promising junior talents, says her long-term ambition is to “put Indian equestrian sport on the world map” as she continues to make her mark at national-level competitions. The young rider recently gained attention after securing multiple medals at major domestic equestrian events, including the Delhi Horse Show 2026, where she won a team silver in dressage and a team bronze in show jumping. Her steady rise has placed her among the most closely watched junior riders in the country.

Stasya’s performances have highlighted her rare versatility across two demanding equestrian disciplines that require very different skill sets. In dressage, she rode Consul with precision, rhythm, and control, while in show jumping she completed a challenging 1.10-metre course featuring 12 obstacles on Cougar De Fees. Coaches and officials have noted that excelling in both categories at such a young age is uncommon, as each discipline demands a unique balance of technique, timing, and coordination with the horse.

Speaking about her journey, Stasya explained that dressage and show jumping test entirely different abilities but together help shape a complete rider. She described dressage as a discipline built on patience, discipline, and harmony with the horse, while show jumping demands courage, sharp focus, and quick decision-making under pressure. Her consistent performances over the past two years have earned her recognition across multiple junior equestrian championships and league events in India.

At the Junior National Equestrian Championship 2025 in Bengaluru, Stasya secured a team silver in the Under-14 category, further strengthening her reputation as a rising talent. She has also delivered strong performances in other competitions, including placements at the National Equestrian Championship in Meerut and several league events held across Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. Her results have consistently placed her among the top-ranked junior riders in national show jumping categories.

Stasya’s achievements have also extended to international exposure through events such as the FEI Children’s Classic 2025 held in Bengaluru, where she competed against riders from multiple countries and finished 12th overall. She said the experience strengthened her belief that she can compete at a global level in the future. She also emphasized that improved infrastructure and increasing international events in India are helping young riders gain confidence and exposure.

As Indian equestrian sports continue to grow, Stasya represents a new generation of athletes aiming for global recognition and higher competitive standards. With multiple medals, strong national rankings, and consistent performances across disciplines, she remains focused on improving her skills and advancing to higher levels of competition. Her journey reflects both personal ambition and the broader rise of equestrian sport among young athletes in India.
