Smriti Mandhana Reclaims ICC Women’s ODI No.1 Batting Ranking
Indian opener tops ICC charts after steady performances against Australia.
India opener Smriti Mandhana has reclaimed the No.1 position in the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings following her performances in the recently concluded three-match series against Australia. Mandhana amassed 790 rating points after scores of 58 and 31 in the series, moving ahead of South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt, who now sits second with 782 points and will have a chance to regain the top spot during the upcoming series against New Zealand.
Australia captain Alyssa Healy, who scored a century in her final ODI appearance, signed off ranked fourth with 744 points. She is positioned behind teammate Beth Mooney (749) and ahead of fellow Australian Ashleigh Gardner (724). Despite India losing all three matches in the ODI leg of the multi-format series, captain Harmanpreet Kaur climbed four places to return to the top 10, occupying ninth position after scores of 53, 54 and 25. Jemimah Rodrigues is placed 12th.
In the bowling rankings, Australia’s Alana King surged to the top with a career-best 775 rating points, ending Sophie Ecclestone’s nearly four-year reign as No.1. King claimed seven wickets in the series at an average of 16.71, including figures of 4/33 in the third ODI, which Australia won by 185 runs. India’s Deepti Sharma is the only Indian bowler in the top 10, placed 10th.

Australia dominate the bowling charts, with Gardner ranked third, Annabel Sutherland fifth, Megan Schutt seventh and Kim Garth eighth. Their strong showing in the ODI series helped them rebound after losing two of three T20Is earlier in the multi-format contest.
Gardner continues to lead the ODI all-rounder rankings with 516 points, maintaining a substantial advantage over West Indies skipper Hayley Matthews, who is second with 418. Sutherland climbed two spots to 408 points among all-rounders, while young Australian Georgia Voll jumped 23 places to 34th in the batting rankings after averaging 54 in the series. Deepti also features prominently in the all-rounders’ list, holding fifth position, underlining her continued value to India across departments.
