The Hyderabad-based side still has three league matches remaining and requires two wins to guarantee qualification. The Gujarat Titans are also on 14 points but possess a lower net run rate of +0.228, leaving them with less margin for error in the final phase of the competition.

Punjab Kings appear to be in one of the strongest positions among the contenders. The team currently has 13 points from 10 matches and also benefits from having a game in hand compared to several rivals. Two victories from their remaining four fixtures would take PBKS to 17 points, a tally generally considered enough to ensure qualification. Their consistent performances throughout the season have kept them firmly in contention for a top-four finish as the league phase approaches its conclusion.
The playoff battle remains tightly packed with several teams still mathematically alive despite inconsistent campaigns. Net run rate is expected to become a decisive factor if multiple sides finish level on points. Teams near the middle of the table will likely need not only victories in their remaining games but also convincing margins to improve their standing. Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, meanwhile, became the first teams to be officially eliminated following RCB’s victory.
