Messi’s Historic Streak Powers Inter Miami Win

Messi’s record-breaking multi-goal run

Lionel Messi etched his name in Major League Soccer history, becoming the first player with four consecutive multi-goal games, scoring twice in Inter Miami’s 2-1 victory over the New England Revolution on Wednesday night.

Messi struck first in the 27th minute, capitalizing on a misplayed header by defender Tanner Beason with a clinical half-volley. He doubled the lead in the 38th minute, latching onto a precise Sergio Busquets pass and firing a first-touch shot from the edge of the penalty area past the right post.

With 14 goals in 15 matches, Messi trails only Nashville’s Sam Surridge (16) in the MLS scoring race, while also contributing seven assists. Inter Miami (10-3-5) extended their winning streak to four, remaining unbeaten in five. Goalkeeper Óscar Ustari made five saves to secure the win.
