Jaipur Polo Team and Jindal Bedla Secure Strong Wins in Kognivera Cup Opener

Jaipur Polo Team began their Kognivera Cup campaign on a strong note, registering an emphatic 10–6.5 victory over Thunderbolt in the tournament opener on Tuesday. The win provided a much-needed confidence boost for Jaipur after an underwhelming showing in the opening tournament of the home season.

Thunderbolt started aggressively in the opening chukker, but Jaipur quickly seized control through fluid attacking play to take a 3–1.5 lead. HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh played a pivotal role, dictating the tempo from midfield, while Th. Bhawani Singh Kalvi contributed crucial goals to keep Jaipur ahead early.

The second chukker saw a strong comeback from Thunderbolt, led by Samir Suhag and Ravinder Mang, whose sustained pressure allowed them to edge ahead 5.5–3 at halftime. The contest remained evenly poised, setting the stage for an intense second half.

Jaipur responded decisively in the third chukker, raising their intensity and regaining control with structured play and clinical finishing. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh led from the front with a series of well-executed goals, supported effectively by Kalvi, as Jaipur moved into an 8–5.5 lead.

Maintaining composure in the final chukker, Jaipur extended their tally to 10 goals, closing out the match in style. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh emerged as the standout performer with six goals, underlining Jaipur’s growing momentum as the season progresses.

In another match, Jindal Bedla continued their impressive run with a convincing 9.5–5 victory over Chandna Polo. Starting with a 0.5-goal handicap advantage, Jindal Bedla dominated through standout performances by Siddhant Sharma, who scored six goals, and Rao Himmat Singh Bedla, as the team reinforced their status as strong contenders for the prestigious Kognivera Cup this season.
