Uttam Singh opened the scoring, followed by Amandeep Lakra’s goal to establish an early lead. Aditya Lalage stole the show with a brilliant brace, while Selvam Karthi and Boby Singh Dhami each added a goal to complete the rout. Ireland managed a lone consolation goal, unable to breach India’s tight defense.
The team, led by a mix of young talent and experienced forwards, dominated all four quarters with relentless pressure. India will face Ireland again on Wednesday night before taking on France, England, Belgium, and hosts The Netherlands in the coming weeks, aiming to fine-tune their skills ahead of future international challenges.
