India vs England 2026: Full T20I, ODI Schedule and Squads Announced

India tour England for T20Is and ODIs after Ireland series loss.

India will begin their white-ball tour of England on July 1 with a five-match T20 International series, followed by a three-match One-Day International series later this month. The tour comes after India suffered a 0-2 T20I series defeat against Ireland, placing additional focus on the team's performance against a stronger English side. One of the biggest talking points ahead of the series is whether 15-year-old batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will finally make his international debut after missing out during the Ireland series.

The T20I series will begin at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street on July 1 before moving to Manchester on July 4, Nottingham on July 7, Bristol on July 9 and Southampton on July 11. The ODI leg will then start at Edgbaston in Birmingham on July 14, followed by matches at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on July 16 and Lord's in London on July 19. No Test matches have been scheduled during this tour, with the assignment consisting entirely of white-ball cricket.

India's T20I squad will be led by Shreyas Iyer, with Tilak Varma serving as vice-captain. The squad includes Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Varun Chakaravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Siraj, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. For the ODI series, Shubman Gill will captain the side, supported by vice-captain Shreyas Iyer, with experienced players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav also featuring in the squad.

England will be captained by Harry Brook, who leads a squad featuring Jos Buttler, Phil Salt, Tom Banton, Jacob Bethell, Sam Curran, Will Jacks, Liam Dawson, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, Saqib Mahmood and Josh Tongue among others. The hosts will look to put recent off-field controversies behind them and focus on delivering strong performances at home against one of their biggest rivals in international cricket.

The series is expected to provide both teams with an opportunity to test combinations ahead of future international tournaments. India will be aiming to bounce back after the disappointing Ireland series, while England will seek to capitalise on home conditions. The performances of young players, particularly Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, are likely to attract considerable attention throughout the tour as selectors continue to build squads for the future.

The Sony Sports Network will broadcast all matches of India's white-ball tour of England in India, while live streaming of both the T20I and ODI series will be available on the Sony LIV platform. Cricket fans will closely follow the month-long contest, with the series expected to feature several high-profile clashes between two of the world's strongest limited-overs teams.
